Strawberry Shortcake S'more

Our pastry chef was inspired by classic flavors paired with summer memories – like chasing after an ice cream truck for an ice cream bar and eating s’mores under the mountain sky – when creating this dessert.

The combination of warm, toasted marshmallow with a cold “ice cream bar” inside complement each other not only with flavor but also texture. It is messy and fun to eat like any traditional s’more, but without the classic flavoring. Instead it has the gooey marshmallow sandwiched between cinnamon graham crackers, that still oozes as you bite in and pull it away. When you get into the center of it you get these refreshing strawberry flavors, with cake crumbs and cold ice cream.

Pow Day

Waldorf Astoria Park City is proud to have the only custom craft beer of the Waldorf Astoria portfolio.

In 2016, Waldorf Astoria Park City partnered with Park City Brewery to launch the hotel’s first signature craft beer, “Pow Day,” available exclusively at the hotel and Park City Brewery’s taproom. Pow Day is a crisp pale ale with a hint of rye that pairs perfectly with the elevated comfort food served at Powder.

Taste of Waldorf Astoria 2017 Winner

Waldorf Astoria Park City Executive Chef and partnered James Beard Foundation Rising Star were announced the winners of the 2017 Taste of Waldorf Astoria culinary competition on July 12!

Their innovative Beet-cured Trout with the Rye Whiskey Mimosa and Tempura Shrimp with the Ginger Yuzu Pearl Mo(ck)jito swept the competition and was announced the winner by a panel of elite judges including Jean-Georges Vongerichten; Owner & chef of Jean-Georges Beverly Hills, Adam Rapoport; Editor-in-chief of Bon Apptit Magazine, and Erik Bruner-Yang; Owner & chef of Makett.
