Powder restaurant is excited to reopen with a fresh Summer menu featuring seasonal food and beverages. We will be offering breakfast in the restaurant as well as lunch and dinner on the pool patio 7 days a week. Our bar and lounge will be open for casual bites highlighted by handcrafted summer-inspired cocktails and a curated wine list.

Closed for Cleaning: 10:30 am – 11:30 am

Lunch: 11:30 am – 4:00 pm

Closed for Cleaning: 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm

Dinner: 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm

Holiday Dining

Spend the holidays surrounded by family and let Powder restaurant take care of the cuisine. Each holiday, Executive Chef Hermann Schaefer crafts a specialty menu to capture each occasion.


We have expanded the space for our restaurant and now can accommodate with comfortable social distancing. Wine pairing and specialty cocktails will be available for Thanksgiving night only. Our team has been specially trained through our CleanStay program to confidently serve you and your family in our restaurant.

If you would like to eat Thanksgiving privately in your room, allow us to do all the cooking for you and deliver your delicious meal to your room at your specified time. Dinner will include all of our Thanksgiving offerings from Powder. In-room cocktail kits with seasonal-specific cocktails or wine will be available as well to complete your dinner experience. Pre-orders are highly recommended. To place a pre-order, you may dial the in-room dining department to set up your delivery time and choices.

Meet the Chef

Waldorf Astoria Park City welcomes Executive Chef Hermann Schaefer to Powder. Chef Hermann was previously the Executive Chef and Director of Food and Beverage at Hilton San Diego Resort and Spa before joining us in the mountains. Hailing from Austria, Chef grew up working and living on the site of his family’s restaurant and winery. The family operation has grown into the largest organic fruit juice company in Europe, still owned and operated by the Schaefer family.

Powder restaurant is a proud partner in Utah Green Business Association. Our variety of sustainability practices include:

  • 95% plastic free
    • Plastic straws have been replaced with recyclable paper straws
    • To-go containers are made of 100% recyclable materials
  • Meats, cheeses and vegetables are purchased through local farms
  • Two beehives are located on the hotel grounds to supply local honey
  • Work with local company, Wild Harvest Farms, to compost fruits, vegetables, eggshells, newspaper and more
